Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon UK Harvest 1st pressing SHVL 803
Stunning pressing of this very rare lp.
Matrices: SHVL 803 A2 and B2
The record is in near mint condition. It is flat and very clean and shiny: indeed it looks almost like new. There are no observable marks in normal light but in very bright light there are a couple of extremely wispy marks that make no difference to the sound which is superb throughout. There are a couple of light spindle marks indicating that the lp has been played a few times. It will be very difficult to find a better copy.
The labels are in excellent condition. They have the solid light blue triangle that indicates a first pressing. There are a couple of spindle marks and a small 2mm mark at the edge on side 2 (see photo). Other than that the labels are flawless.
The cover is in excellent condition. It is the correct very dark blue/indigo version with the sealed left hand gatefold. There is some light ringwear to the front and rear that is noticeable but doesn't detract significantly from the overall look. There is also some wear to the corner and edge of the top left hand gatefold which I have shown in one of the photographs.
The posters and stickers are in excellent condition. They are clean and tidy and free from creases (other than the ones the posters came with originally). They have never been hung and have no residue, tears, rips etc.
The original black inner is present and in excellent condition. There is some light wear/rubbing to the opening. Other than that it is in outstanding condition.
This is a copy that I am sure would satisfy even the most exacting of collectors. The record itself is fantastic and I am sure that the light wear to the cover and inner will not be a major issue (see photos). I have no doubt that the lp is of investment quality. Happy bidding.
