Description

An original 1st press of Meddle on UK Harvest. Matrix A1U/B1U. Stampers 1-HM/1-PD . "Gramophone" in the perimeter label text - indicative of 1st issue. Worth noting the vinyl is satisfyingly heavy - not all copies were pressed at this weight. The vinyl comes housed in an original FULLY textured cover [inside and out]. We also have the original inner sleeve date coded to Autumn 1971 [spot on for 1st pressing]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can make out a couple of low level wispy marks and one very small semi-feelable mark [which does sound all be it briefly]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. The only issues are as follows... is caused by a small mark early on side 1. You will get 4-5 ticks just before Richard Wright says in a devilish tone 'One Of These Days...'.innocuous and fairly well hidden. A bit of light background for the 1st minute of Echoes - but it clears up. It then reappears in the quiet midsection [swirling wind] briefly, before clearing out again. Overall a great rendition from this early 1st.
Cover (Vg+) In very decent condition with just light handing front and rear. The interior is looking very nice with light ageing [better than you often find]. There's a good bit of edge wear in places - nothing epic. As is common on this title a fair bit of wear to the spine. The text is 50% legible. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
