1968 UK 1st PRESS **MONO** COLUMBIA LP
**MISSPELT LABEL & COVER*
This rare 1968 MONO 1st pressing is on the UK black & blue Columbia label: SCX 6258
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rims.
The rare 'KJT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
The side 2 label and rear cover have David Gilmour's name MISSPELT as 'Gilmore'.
Housed in its front laminated, tri-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse mono cover.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XAX 3633-1 & XAX 3634-1
Stamper numbers: 1/M & 1/A

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Both sides are clean and bright displaying just some sleeve removal marks and the occaisional hairline directly under a halogen desk lamp.
Further close inspection reveals no deep scratches or heavy scuffs or other major faults.
Top quality sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD
Full, clear and rich mono mix with little overall lessening to the sound quality.
Apart from some light wear on tracks 3 & 4 on side 1 and a few light ticks on tracks 1 & 3 on side 2, there are no other faults.
Both run-ins and all bands are extremely quiet and there are no heavy clicks or any hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
A bright, vibrant front panel which displays some minor edge wrinkles and a few 'thumbnails' but no heavy creasing or major wear.
The corners displays some light storagewear but no heavy bumps. there is some light wear to the opening edges, with a small 1cm tear to the rear.
There are a few lines of writing on the inner sleeve but matt rear panel is clean with no discolouration, ringwear, marks, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks are intact with minor wear only and all seams and the spine are strong and undamaged.
