Description

An original 1st pres of The Wall on UK Harvest. Matrix 2/3/3/3. Lovely solid pressing as you would expect - much better quality control. A really well preserved original - not abused like so many other copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note 1st issue copies are much higher quality - solid thick-card. An easy way to spot them is they don't have the band members names in purple in the cell above the 'baby behind bars'. But well worth going for them - they sound and look so much better than later copies.. Near night and day difference. There's also the original bespoke inners too - rounded corners. Stickef too! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome though. For the vintage it looks extremely good. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are super nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Given the vintage - very very impressive. I'm just getting clean feed - and you can hear all the detail well down into the mix. Even the quieter moments play well above what usually surfaces. A really nice clean signal throughout. A truly excellent strike rate. Maybe one isolated tick per side at worst. Overall a super rendition and much much better than what typically surfaces. Highly recommended in everyway. Don't go cheap on this classic title - if you really want an all time show stopper...it is worth going for the best of the best.
Cover (Ex-) Really difficult to find in super condition - but this example is way above the average copy. Just take a good look at those pics...not many will be looking that well preserved. Lovely clean front and rear without the usual surface wear and only some minor signs of ageing creeping in at edges. Perfectly flat. Perfect rigidity. The overall aesthetic is really well preserved - almost pristine. The interior looks equally good. The spine is 100% intact which is very unusual indeed. Minimal edge wear and very sharp openings. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and is a super fine specimen.
Inner (Ex-) One Slight side edge split tape repaired internally on both inners. Not much sign of ageing. Really nice though.
