Original Columbia Records promotional 2LP set release factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd's 11th studio album “The Wall” released on November 30, 1979. Included into this listing is a unique item. Original 1982 promotional “Pink Floyd The Wall” T-shirt which was purchased at the 70 mm premiere screening of the film at the Mann’s Village in Westwood, Los Angeles. Acquired in the foyer of the movie theatre on August 13, 1982, the T-shirt had been in the possession of a single owner all this time. The vintage T-shirt features the artwork by Gerard Scarfe from “The Wall” album. The artist’s signature print is located beneath the image along with the official merch “© Pink Floyd Music Ltd.” credit. This T-shirt along with the other original film’s apparel was specially ordered by MGM / UA Entertainment Co., the film’s distributor in the US, from the Hanes clothing company. 1st print gatefold cover contains a gold embossed "FOR PROMOTION ONLY. Ownership Reserved By CBS. Sale is Unlawful." machine promo stamp at the top left-hand corner of the back cover. The front cover contains an original promotional rectangular “PINK FLOYD THE WALL 36183” clear with the black text and catalog number hype sticker affixed at the center right and an original “COLUMBIA RECORDS DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE Suggested Cuts” timing strip sticker with the catalog PC2-36183 / C-36184 numbers affixed at the bottom center, with both stickers located underneath the shrink wrap. Inside the cover you'll find the custom "The Wall" inner sleeves with the lyrics on both sides. The album is in marvelous Mint condition. The shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes, one on each side, and is fully intact without having any splits, tears or missing pieces, having only some very light shelf wear. This promotional issue might contain two label variations. It could either be the Columbia Records “The Wall” promo labels with a “Demonstration Not For Sale” banner or the standard commercial non-promo labels. The original “Pink Floyd The Wall” promotional T-shirt is in great vintage condition.

The outstanding promotional album is graded as Mint. The shrink wrap is fully intact and contains the original breathe holes, one on each side of the album. The promotional T-shirt is in great vintage condition. It had just two small holes which have been repaired by a professional tailor. The size indicated on the still intact tag is L 42-44. The actual measurements are: Pit to Pit - 19"; Shoulders - 18¼"; Length - 25¾".
