I AM AWARE OF THE AMOUNT THAT THIS RECORD COULD SELL FOR SO WITH THIS IN MIND THERE IS A DETAILED GRADING BELOW WHERE I HAVE DESCRIBED THE PACKAGE VISUALLY AND PLAYED THE RECORD TOO, I HAVE NOT HELD ANYTHING BACK AND IN MOST CASES HAVE BEEN OVER CRITICAL.

This is the very first and extremely limited pressing with the high desirable "Solid Blue Triangle" Centre.

It is presented in a Gatefold picture sleeve and two posters are enclosed, the previous owner has put the stickers on the front cover as pictured, the posters are in excellent condition with no damage, pin holes or blue-tak stains.

There is also a Black poly lined inner sleeve that has patent no’s and "Made in great Britain" the printing on the inner sleeve almost looks to be the same colour as the solid blue triangle but it could just be grey.

The sleeve is printed by Garrod and Lofthouse and has the numbers "7303" I understand this to be March 1973 but I also believe that this is printed on sleeves right through the 70's and 80's so I do not have any way to judge if this is an original cover, one thing is for sure the record certainly is.

Play Grading VG++ or Even Excellent

Side 1

The Record starts with an annoying click that starts before the heart beat of "Speak to Me" and finishes before the talking starts on this track, it clicks for 9 revolutions then goes completely, after this the record plays superbly well, a little bit of background his but nothing to override what is a quiet track.

After the first track the record plays with clarity and definition and whilst there is the odd very light tick it certainly plays as a very good++ or even excellent record should.

There are many silent parts on this record and these are the areas where a badly damaged record would normally show it's hand, but this record performs as well as any.

During the last part of the record there is a haunting backing vocal session by Clare Torry, this is crystal clear with no distortion at all.

Side 2

Side two starts with famous "Money" Intro, very little background noise before the music begins and certainly when the tracks starts is plays superbly well with no background noise or clicks. Side 2 continues in the same way with great sound and little or no evidence of any play wear. There is some light background noise in parts when playing "Us and Them" but only in places. The rest of the record plays very very well. Side finishes with the heartbeat that plays with clarity, a truly great playing record.

Visual Grading

When Viewed under a bright 100 watt bulb marks can be seen on both sides of the vinyl but none are deep or serious with regards to how the record plays, this is therefore VG+ or even slightly better. Under normal daylight the vinyl retains its gloss and sheen and looks considerably better.

The labels are extremely clean with no writing, stickers or spindle wear.

The sleeve is in excellent condition with no tears or writing, there is some white "Scuffing" to the back of the cover; this can be seen in the images below.

The inner sleeve is complete with poly-lined section, it is a bit tatty at the top and bulges a bit on the bottom, no seam splits though.
