The Pink Floyd---"Piper At The Gates Of Dawn"---Rare Original UK Stereo 1st Press In EX Condition!!
Here we have an original UK 1st pressed album in stereo from 1967 on the blue/black Columbia label with a cat. no. SCX6157 and matrices YAX 3419-1 & YAX 3420-1.
Vinyl: Side 1 looks beautiful with no marks and it still has a very high gloss shine. Side 2 has 1 light hairline about 2" long and a 2" "rub" type mark. Neither of these affect the sound quality and both sides still play Ex. with wonderful audio if a little light surface in quiet parts.
Labels: EX. With very little spindle rash. These labels are almost like new on first look.
Sleeve: EX. The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is in a great condition. The front laminate is totally complete and hardly shows a mark. On the back, the flaps are a little grubby as normal. There is half an inch of lifting of the top flap and under it is written a name in ink about 3" long. There is also a retailer's sticker (Cowlings Leicester) at the bottom (this can be seen in red).
All in all this is a very nice keeping copy which plays great and would make a great addition to any collection.
If you want the rare chance to own this record, start bidding as you won't find a better copy. With a low start price and no reserve you might get yourself a bargain!
