Vintage prog rock lp: DAVE GREENSLADE & PATRICK WOODROFFE - The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony (The Birth and Death of a World) - a concept album - a 47-page hardcover book with two LPs of music, published by Dragon's World Limited Imprints, Great Britain, 1979. Illustrated with beautiful fantasy art in full color by Woodroffe; music by Greenslade. The story and artwork within 'Pentateuch' concerns the discovery of an abandoned spacecraft in orbit around Jupiter, and the project to decipher the ideograms in the Pentateuch 'document' discovered within. Most of the book is a retelling of the document, in much the same way as a modern translator might retell the contents of a Babylonian tablet or Egyptian papyrus scroll. Particularly remarkable is the ideograph script/alphabet created by Woodroffe and used throughout the artwork.

Condition is NM/VG++ (vinyl is glossy and NM, with clean labels; cover has old price tag, corners have rubbing, bottom back corner bumped, one inner sleeve has a 1-inch seam split).

(Vintage Records, Vinyl, 33 rpm, Prog, Psych, British Rock, Import, Fantasy, Art, Books, 1970's, Music, Memorabilia, Collectibles).

REGARDING IMAGE QUALITY: Some of our older listings have images of poor quality; a few months ago Ebay changed their image  size policies, and I was forced to automatically enlarge the images for all of last years' remaining items, which caused them to be grainy and  blurry.

WE NEVER USE STOCK PHOTOS - all images are of actual items. WE ALMOST ALWAYS USE MULTIPLE IMAGES.
