Hello there and welcome to my auction of the extremely rare original 12" Single of Q Lazzarus' track Goodbye Horses. This legendary song was used in the film 'Silence of The Lambs' and was issued by the All Nations label in 1991. If you're reading this listing you probably already know the story behind this one, but for those who don't this record contains the music that is playing during the famous sequence in Silence of the Lambs where Buffalo Bill is dancing in front of a mirror. There was never a soundtrack issued for the film, so for a while this was the only way to get this track. Whatever the case, this is a rare classic known and loved by many and here's a chance to grab it for your own record collection. The single also includes the very sought after track 'White Lines'.
The song was also used in other movies including Clerks II and the videogames Grand Theft Auto IV and Skate 3.
As you are probably aware it is rare that this record comes up for sale. A search on the internet only locates one other 12" Single which is currently for sale at the equivalent of £572. It has regularly commanded prices over the £200 mark in recent years so the reserve price will reflect that.
The record was part of my own vinyl collection which I am currently selling. It was played probably a dozen times and has subsequently been in storage for approximately 15 years.
Grading
Vinyl: (In natural, indirect light) VERY GOOD - SOME LIGHT MARKS
Sleeve: GOOD - SOME CREASES ON THE FRONT/STORAGE MARKS ON THE EDGES
This record is not in MINT condition as it is a used record. I like to be honest with my buyers and not mislead anybody.
