Queen : Greatest Hits II A2/B1/A1/B1 1st Press 1991 2LP Embossed Cover

This first pressing plays to an incredible standard with a clarity, depth and power that is just stunning and is quite possibly the finest example I have ever listened to.  The only background are three very light ticks on 'Who Wants To Live Forever' but believe me they are very quiet!  I would not be surprised if this LP had never been played.  Visually it is so impressive and there is no spindle wear on the labels.  A FINAL UPGRADE in my opinion.

The embossed cover is rarely found as clean as this also.  It has only minimal wear and whilst I have graded it as Ex++ it not far off Near Mint- really.  The picture inners are in superb condition with only one small edge 'rub' on the first one.  A stunning album!

Visual description

The vinyls are in superb condition with a fine glossy sheen and no marks or scratches.  Under a bright light I can only see a small number of faint sleeve removal hairlines and there is nothing that stands out.  The labels are super clean with no spindle wear at all.

Play grading

'A Kind Of Magic' plays with stunning quality from start to finish with zero interference.  Aside from one very quiet tick (not even sure tick is the right word!) there is no background and the clarity and depth of the audio is so impressive.  A Mint start for sure.  'Under Pressure' is phenomenal!  As well as the powerful sections there are of course a number of quiet sections and yet the clarity is 'as new' with not so much as a dust tick.  A classic Mint version including every through every finger-clicking sequence!  'Radio Ga Ga' is equal to that, the sonic quality is superb, and 'I Want It All' and 'I Want To Break Free' end the side with STUNNING audio once more.  In essence this is a fault-free side.

The intro on 'Innuendo' is perfect and it continues to play with exceptional power and depth.  The quieter acoustic section for once plays beautifully with no intrusion and the remainder of this classic does not let the side down either.  Mint versions are as rare as hens teeth but we have one here!  'It's A Hard Life' plays with perfect clarity and then the intro on 'Breakthru' has no background which is a genuine rarity.  The rest of the track is just as strong.  The intro on 'Who Wants To Live Forever' has one second of mega quiet static and the first verse just three very quiet static ticks but from then on it plays with impeccable quality and no interference.  The orchestral end section is fantastic!  Near Mint is a fair assessment of the audio here even if the vast majority is better than that!

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
