Description

An original 1st issue of OPERA on UK custom EMI labels - whilst charting. Matrix 4/3. Etching 'Blairs'. The vinyl comes housed in an original embossed gatefold cover with sealed left opening - forming a nice solid panel. We also have the original bespoke inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side. One is just enough to sound briefly [see detail below].  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. The only issues I picked up were a couple of ticks in 'Two Legs' & 'Prophet' & 'Rhapsody'. Then, during 'Best Friend' the mark mentioned above does cause a 3-4 ticks in a couple of spots. Nothing invasive or recurring - so not a big deal really. A touch of light static in the quietest moments of 'Love Of My Life'. Overall a high standard with just a coupe of brief faults here and there.
Cover (Ex-) Difficult to find in top level condition - but this example is in pretty tidy condition. A lovely white cover - not perfectly though. The front is really nice with just a touch along the spine edge. The rear exhibits a touch of ageing top right corner. Overall - still very tidy looking. The interior is spot n exhibiting no ageing at all. Very little edge wear and sharp firm openings. The text on the spine is all fully legible - but it is exhibiting a bit of ageing. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) In great condition - few will look this good. Hardy any edge wear and no splits!!
