Description

This is an extremely rare uncoated aluminum radio show transcription disc featuring excerpts from "The Kraft Music Hall" radio program of August 2, 1934 starring Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra with Jack Teagarden, Ramona, Johnny Mercer & Al Jolson

Approximately 7 1/2 minutes on this 12 inch, 78 rpm, uncoated aluminum disc.  Disc contains parts 1 & 3 of the program only

This is an extremely rare, most likely one of a kind disc

Part 1 begins with the introduction and opening theme of the program (Rhapsody In Blue).  Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra play the song “Bambalina”.  A great instrumental song.  Song is complete

Part 3 begins with Al Jolson talking to Ramona about her upcoming song “Lacucaracha” with Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra.  The song features vocal by Ramona.  As the song goes along, Ramona says “Now Mr. T, Let’s Hear From You” referring to Jack Teagarden, who is then heard on the trombone.  She also identifies Johnny Mercer who sings as well.  The last couple of notes of this song may be cut off

Disc is in very good condition with very good sound - actually quite good sound for uncoated aluminum
