RARE 1956 Elvis Presley WOHO Rca Victor Promo 45 EP

Here is an ORIGINAL pressing of the promotional only 45 RPM EP given away as a prize by the Toledo, Ohio radio station WOHO 1470 KC back in late 1956. This EP is catalog number RCA VICTOR EP PRO-12 and features the following songs : Elvis Presley - Old Shep & Hank Snow - I’m Moving On b/w Eddy Arnold - Cattle Call & Jim Reeves - Four Walls. Rca Victor only produced about 25 copies of this record with a paper picture sleeve EXCLUSIVELY for WOHO 1470 out of Toledo. This copy does not have the picture sleeve with it. Not many of these EPs are in existence today, I believe the last count was around 5 known copies! Any serious Elvis collector knows just how tough it is to acquire this record! This particular copy was discovered in a basement full of 45s in Toledo. The dead wax reads STAMPED : J7 OH2287-1 on the A-side and J7 OH2288-1 on the B-side.

The labels do show some light wear and light soiling as seen in the pictures. Both sides of this record play grade between VG and VG- overall. There is also what I believe to be a manufacturer bubble defect in the wax on each side of the record. On the A-side, it is about ¾ of the way through ‘Old Shep’ and causes a light “thud” sound as the stylus passes over it. This affects about 45 seconds of the song. It plays though for the most part, but causes the needle to jump one revolution as it reaches the end of the bubble defect. There is a similar bubble defect on the flip side at the very end of ‘Cattle Call’ and leading into the very beginning of ‘Four Walls.’ The ‘thud’ sound is slightly louder on this side and the defect does cause the stylus to jump a couple of times as it passes over it. The bubble defect on this side affects about 25 seconds of music. There is also a light warp in the disc that does not affect play.

Aside from the condition being far from Mint, this is still an EXTREMELY rare Elvis 45. I am starting the opening bid very low with no reserve. Questions are always welcomed. Good Luck!

Grading Scale:

NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.

VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.

VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.

G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.

Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
