'RARE AMBER'
UK Original LP on POLYDOR RECORDS 583046 from 1969 in STEREO
A bit of an oddity here, in this band's obvious reverence for quality original American blues - but with a bit of a nod to psych...particularly in the strange & macabre cover art!
Kicking off with their great single 'Malfunction Of The Engine', this hinted at a capable bunch of musicians with minds of their own. They cover BB King and Muddy Waters, yet their own tracks don't pale in comparison at all - in fact I'd say this was a pleasantly even and consistent recording all the way.
Despite the 'sacrifice' cover photograph, this is not a Lord Sutch styled band, nor are they really goth, satanist, or heavy rock. I think this is more along the lines of Aynsley Dunbar, Chicken Shack or John Dummer Blues Band actually.
Now quite sought after and 'Rare', it's a quality blues-rock collectible album - and in lovely playing shape too!
CONDITION;
The single-sleeve fully-laminated COVER is VG to VG+ due to some handling scuff and sticker damage to the top corner on the rear.
The VINYL grades NM-/EX, it plays GREAT!
The lables are NM, very nice and clean, no pen or stains.
A worthwhile album and a VERY decent playing copy!
