Description
From my collection: Here is "Buddy Holly" - The Buddy Holly Story on Coral # CRL 57279. It is an original first press!
Record is the shellac type. It does NOT bend or it'll snap into pieces. Stamped #s: MG 6950T1 & MG 6951T2, HIGH GLOSS, record VG+++, plays PERFECT with NO noise.
Cover is M- (could be M to some), NO seam splits, see closeup of front cover in pictures. Back has the red & black print; FIRST PRESS original issue. Has faint stamping to upper left on back cover. No freying or wear!! Comes with "D" shaped baggy. I sold one a full grade less for $240.00 so this starting bid is a bargain. Value is approx $500.00- $600.00 in this condition. It even smells new!
Thanks for looking and bidders good luck.
To be shipped in a strong record mailer. In the rare even that I run out, I will pack between 2 thick pieces of cardboard.
Record grading guided by Goldmine (graded in light):
MINT: No scuffs, scratches, blotches, stains, labels, writing, tears or splits. Simply perfect.
NEAR MINT (NM): A Record that may have one or two tiny, minor flaws such as light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of the sleeves that do not affect play.
EXCELLENT (EX or VG+): A Record has been handled and played either very little or very carefully. The vinyl may have lost some but not all of it's original luster or have a slight scratch that doesn't affect play.
VERY GOOD (VG): A Record that displays visible signs of handling and playing such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. A VG record may look like it will have some audible surface noise when it is played, although any noise should not overwhelm the music or ruin the listening experience.
GOOD (G): The Record is well played, with any number of defects such as complete loss of surface sheen, obvious surface noise, etc.
I pack well, insurance is optional but strongly recommended!!
I have thousands more from Rock to Jazz to Metal to Doo Wop, to Psyche, etc.
Please check my other auctions. MORE LOTS to come!!
Thanks and good luck!
