Description
Orchestre Guido Curti plays "Curti's Stomp" and "My Serenade Is You" (a waltz with an English vocal) on Curtiphone 347/348, still in its original sleeve. The "Stomp" is a hot arrangement with solos. Recorded in Paris in 1932, but I have been unable to find any other details.
Offered once on eBay in 2018. This is the same copy that was offered then.
This record is in EE- condition on the "Stomp" side and EE+ on the "Serenade" side. On the "Stomp" side, a blemish I cannot see rustles a few times before the music starts. The record plays very well. One side of the sleeve has a three-inch seam split, but it is in good shape overall.
As a bonus, I'm including an E+ copy of a non-jazz Curti record (no. 488, containing two marches) that has a different label and different, terrifically ornate Curtiphone sleeve (see last picture).
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
