Description

Up for sale is this rare 1968 Us First Pressing of The Beatles White Album (SWBO-101),manufactured at Capital Records plant in Jacksonville, Illinois. This copy features an ultra-low 7-diget serial number (0001321) with embossed front cover letters. This specific jacket is a highly sought after 1968 Jacksonville factory variation that features the word ''Stereo" printed on the upper right back cover. The records contain the early 'SWBO matrix codes on all four sides along with the the Rocky Racoon label typo.    The Cover is a heavy cardboard side loader and is in  pretty good shape for it's age. It does have some separation on the top on both sides of about 4.75''. It has no Ring Wear. Please check the pictures.    The Lyrics Sheet does have some Shelf Wear . But as of right now has no rips or tears. The reason I say it like that is that it's very old and I just don't know how many more times you can open and close it without parts of the fold giving away. I just folded it back up for the last time while in my position. The four Portraits are Near Mint. They are UNCUT .    The vinyl looks to be very good + Again ,I took many pictures. Please check them out. My grade may not match yours. This may very well be a Near Mint.  I have never played the two LPs. The matrix numbers are : Record 1 side 1      SWBO-X1-101 J54 Record 1 side 2       SWBO-2-101 J53 Record 2 side 3       SWBO-3-101 J65 Record 2 side 4       SWBO-X4-101 J48    I was curious and researched why there wasn't a prefix in front of the serial number on the cover. It turns out that it's all in the plant in which the album cover was printed . In short the mechanical stamping machines at the Scranton and LA plants differ from the stampers at the midwestern plants. The midwestern plants supplied the jackets for the Jacksonville, Ill. plant where this one was stamped. They didn't use a Prefix. That's the short version of it.    Before you bid on this album please text me with any questions. Look over the pictures good. Although I will ship it insured I would rather not send it back and forth and take a chance on breaking it. Thanks
