Description

IRON MAIDEN: THE X FACTOR.

This is quite long, but important.

The Magnificent Maidens' 10th Studio Album and Blaze Bayley's first of two as Vocalist. This Gatefolded 1995 Album played very well on my Record Player (can record a short video on request) without "sticking", "jumping" or "ticking", but there are little "crackles" on the quieter parts of Sign Of The Cross and 2 A.M., and this is why am only calling it VG+. I've tried to fill in as many Item Specifics as I could.

The Outer Sleeve: externally has a 3.5cm "crease" front top right, a few barely noticeable "scrapes" on the back, surrounding where the 2nd disc is, and on the inside a 2cn "crease" top right (same area as externally), and obvious "scrapage" top left & bottom right - may have been in production.

Have tried to show all the above in Images (can take other pics on request). AT THIS POINT I MUST BE HONEST - AS ALWAYS - AND SAY THE FOLLOWING: the first time I was playing this, in the last minute of Side 2's Look For The Truth, this actually "stuck", which was very deflating. I ran my fingers over the area but couldn't feel anything obvious. Also tried a magnifying glass, but still nothing. Left it a couple of days, but same thing. So I tried a new trick of mine (which may have some of you throwing your hands up in horror!), and used a "hand-wipe", dried it and played it again, and it plays fine now. Wish I'd recorded short before & after videos, but can still record an after on request.

This may well be better than the seemingly few out there, but also better than one you might be trying to replace. It COULD perhaps also be Framed instead of played. Always an option for folks.

Released in early October 1995, this reached Number 8 on the Official UK Chart, staying in for 4 weeks (am likely to have bought this on release). It has only one song which hit the Singles Chart:

Man On The Edge, Number 10

Have Guinness Hit Singles & Albums Book as reference.

I have this in another format now, so happy to let it go.  Matrix Numbers, don't really tell me anything regarding Pressings: 8358201 A & B, 8358211 A & B.

I always use a record cloth before playing, but am sure everyone knows what static does!

Having put all my Records in order early last year (took several weeks!), I've been playing through them for the first time in nearly 30 years - very enjoyable so far - but with space having to be freed up now (this has been in 4 different houses with me), this is the 167th of 366 Artist L.P.'s which I started with (am keeping 96 of them so far), with a further 40 Comedy or Compilation L.P.'s.

Please feel free to ask anything.

Many thanks, Scott.
