Description
REELS PSYCHEDELIQUES Vol.1 LP CANADIAN PSYCH AVANT GARDE
I just acquired a huge collection of Canadian records. Many rarities are part of this find, books and magazines too. I will need a few months to go through them to see what I have. Let’s start with some of them.
Released right before sought-after and well-known EXPERIENCE 9 album, trying a decent description of this obscure item seems not that easy. For sure, a reference must be done with monster OUBA album. It’s self-indulgent; basically, it’s a freedom freak-out album in different ways, a mix of fairly East Coast incoherent pure traditional folk titles, very progressive with quite a jazzy atmosphere. The Reels Psychadeliques were found on two distinct recording, two volumes: vol.1 (white) and vol.2 (black).
This was poorly promoted and distributed, it didn't sell well. A true rarity!
