DETAILS:

VINYL The Vinyl is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition with lovely reflective surfaces.
Classic sixties thick heavy Vinyl weighing in at 154g.
NO scratches just a couple of very light marks visible only when held under a strong lamp.
Plays through beautifully with NO jumps or skips.
Matrix numbers: XARL-6619-1A & XARL-6620-1A
Mother/Stamper codes: 1/GU & 2/B with KT tax code also machine stamped at 12 o'clock both sides

LABELS The Labels are in EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT condition with just the odd very minor spindle line visible, more on Side 1 than Side 2

SLEEVE The Sleeve is in SUPERB condition with NO storage wear to the edges and corners just some very light creases at the spine and some tiny laminate lift.
The spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible.
Housed in a front laminated sleeve.
The reverse of the sleeve has the famous 'censored' paste-over rear panel.
This paste-over occurred because the original text caused a lot of offence because the original rear sleeve included this passage:

"If you don’t have bread, see that blind man knock him on the head, steal his wallet and low and behold you have the loot, if you put in the boot, good, another one sold!"

Decca were forced to change the text leaving out the above section and, not wanting to waste already printed sleeves, they decided to paste a revised slick over the top of the original.
THE ORIGINAL TEXT IS STILL VISIBLE UNDER THE PASTE-OVER SLICK !
Difficult to photograph but visible below "Andrew Loog Oldham" and to the right of "Printed In England"
The offensive text was removed permanently from later editions.
This actual record was bought at Vallance's Record Store on The Headrow in Leeds in 1965.
The rear sleeve did once have a record store sticker which sadly must have dried out and slipped off.
It's gone but you can see where it was.

INNER SLEEVE
Comes 100% complete with the ORIGINAL "Handling/Playing" polythene-lined inner in near MINT unsplit condition.

This item up for auction is a fantastic copy a STUNNING PASTE OVER SLEEVE.

You will struggle to find a better paste-over sleeve.
