CONDITION OF ITEMS >>> Please note the 2 pieces that have chipped off one of the records . There is also a tiny surface chip on side 3 but as you can see in the close-up picture above it is on the very edge of the record so it should not have an affect on the way the record sounds or its ability to be played. The overall condition of all of the other records is excellent for their age, although as you can see in the pictures above there are some minor scattered smudges, spots and/or stains. I believe these minor problems are only due to aging. You will probably find these problems on any record from this same time period. The record labels are all in excellent condition for their age with only the normal wear due to aging. The wear is no worse than what you see in the close-up picture of one of the labels above. The cardboard record cover has the expected wear that is due to the normal process of aging, use, storage and the movement of the set from place to place. This type of wear is mostly noticeable on the corners and/or edges. Please note the light discoloration on the outer edge of the front cover and on the red binding on the back cover of the album. I believe the marks on the red binding on the back are due to paint so they are probably permanent. The other discoloration is probably all due to exposure to humidity throughout the years. The outer red binding has started to detach from the cardboard cover on the back but the front is still nice and tight. The red binding is the leather type of binding not the cloth type. The inner brown binding, at the spine, is still nice and tight for its age although I honestly think that if it is not handled with great care it will start to fall apart. The 5 separate record sleeves inside the cardboard cover are all in excellent condition with no problems other than the normal signs of wear due to aging just like the rest of the album cover. There is no unwanted writing. Please note, and I can't stress this point enough, that the paper and cardboard both have a really sharp musty odor due to it being stored in a basement for such a long period of time. It is mostly noticeable when the set is opened. If there is anything I have missed, or if I haven't answered your particular question or questions please feel free to e-mail me. Please view all the pictures above before placing your bid.

INSURANCE >>> I believe insuring a package should be the buyer's choice, therefore I will not automatically insure this package. If you want to insure your package you will need to email me before you make your payment so that I can add the additional fees that apply to the invoice. If you do not email me I will not insure your package. Please consider insuring your package seriously as it also covers the loss of your package. These records are very old and should be treated gently and with great care so that they do not break. I pack all my items safely and securely but please understand that once the package is out of my hands I have no control over its safety. I feel I should not be held responsible for a package that is beyond my control. The insurance will help you get the value back for your item.
