You are bidding on a out of print, original US pressing copy of the Ramones - Leave Home LP released by Sire Records in 1977. This is SA-7258. This record came out of the collection of a central Texas music fan, known to many musicians/fellow music lovers, who tragically lost his life late last year. He frequently attended concerts and shows here in central Texas and elsewhere. He enjoyed meeting musicians and liked to get their autographs, such as this record. It has been signed by Dee Dee, Joey, and Johnny Ramone! All three signatures can be found on the front of the jacket (see picture). The signatures are signed in blue pen. By Joey Ramone's signature it is written "87", most likely referring to the year he singed the jacket. The record is in VG condition with some light surface scuffs/scratches but plays fine. The record labels are in NM condition. The record jacket is in VG- condition with some shelfwear, ringwear, and edgewear. There are a few creases (all of which are an inch or less) along the spine of the jacket, and there a couple more along the bottom seam. The lower righthand corner of the jacket has also been creased. This copy has the original record inner sleeve with lyrics on one side and a band photo on the back, which is in VG condition. There is a small, less than an inch, seam split on the bottom of the inner sleeve. This copy comes with two other related items we found inside the jacket, a flyer for the Austin Aqua Festival in 1990 (which the Ramones headlined one night) and a copy of a local fanzine called No Reply dating from May of 1990 which has a review of the shows the Ramones played at the Backroom club here in Austin in April of 1990. We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:
Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!
Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.
Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.
Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches. generally still a great playing copy. jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.
Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.
Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches. jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
