Description

This is the very rare 10” original numbered limited edition (#375) of Duke Ellington “A Goutelas” on JBP 91. The record is MINT, unplayed, with a high luster. The gatefold cover, with 22 photographs, is also in excellent condition, with very slight shelf wear. There is an inscription on the back “For my Friend, at Goutlas, Love Duke Ellington” that may be hand-signed by Ellington, though it looks like it might have been printed. Side A has Duke playing excerpts from “Symphonie pour un monde meilleur”; after a spoken introduction, Side 2 has Duke playing a medley of eight of his most popular compositions.
