Description

Here are two great r&b ballads by The Imperials originally recorded in May '52, and released on 78 rpm only by Newark's Savoy records.  Around 1961, Herman Lubinsky put this 45 out on the Buzzy label using the original stampers ... 50 yrs ago! 

Savoy also recorded this group as The Gaylords at the same 5/23/52 session and they had one release.  It's also been well accepted in record collecting circles that this group became the Ambassadors that recorded for Timely in Sept '53.  Cuts are My Darling b/w You Should Have Told Me.  The group was either from Newark or NYC, does anyone know ... even the 5 Sharps were eventually found!

The record is glossy transparent light purple wax and in Mint condition.  Deadwax matrix numbers are machine stamped in the deadwax.
