Description

Super rare original 45 rpm record of STAN JOHNSON "Big Black Train" b/w "Six White Horses" on RUBY 280.  Excellent and highly sought hillbilly rocker with an excellent "A" side and incredible "B" side that is a must have for any fan of great Rockabilly!!!  The record is in VG++ condition with only a few tiny non-audible scratch marks and lightly visible tiny thin scuff lines throughout from being stored outside a sleeve.  Record grooves still shine and looks to have been lightly played.   A very, very clean copy!

The label on the "A" side is in near excellent condition with only a faint trace of a yellow mark around the "R" on Ruby.  The "B" side label, unfortunately, has a tear across the lower half where a label or tape had been removed by the previous owner.  There is no other wear on either label, still has that deep silver print with a nice, dark maroon background.

The numbers stamped in the trail-off grooves read H80W-6763 on the "A" side with a 1, 1 (or I) and B1 stamped about 3 inches apart from each other.  The numbers on the "B" side read H80W-6764 with a 1, 1 (or I) and A1 stamped about 3 inches apart from each other.   Seems from the stampers that maybe the "B" side was originally going to be the "A" side, but the labels indicate that Big Black Train was to be the 'A" side.  Who knows, but both are great songs!!!  Guaranteed authentic pressing!!!!  Don't miss this one!!!

I will be listing other rare rockabilly 45s in the next few days, so please check my other auctions.  Shipping is $3.00 Priority Mail in the U.S.A.  International bidders add $6.00 for shipping and handling.  I will happily combine shipping costs at a reasonable amount for winners of multiple items.  Thanks for bidding, and good luck!!!!
