Description
Up for auction today, some very rare Roy Orbison, the 1980 vinyl soundtrack to the rock and roll cult classic -“Living Legend” starring Earl Ownsby as Eli Canfield a country-rock legend (modeled after Elvis Presley) that has fallen victim to the pitfalls of superstardom.
Roy Orbison sings the entire soundtrack that includes; “Run For the Sun” – “Movin;” – “Friday Night’” – “Heavy Load” – “Poor Baby” – “Stop” – “You Were There” – “Where Does All The Money Go” – What Am I Worth” – “Eli’s Theme/Here to Stay”.
According to Amazon, the soundtrack was never released – at least until now! Recorded in Charlotte NC, at the Arthur Smith Studio, the backing band is listed as the “Skwydro-Heegie” band. Some rare Roy Orbison on a recorded never released!? The front sleeve does say that it was “nominated as the Motion Picture of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, Los Angeles Calif.”
Record is in Good to Very good condition, a few sleeve scuffs, still has original shrinkwrap on sleeve, but no warping.
