Now You Wonder Why/We'll Live On Happily
(Contest Records, 1965)
Rare UK Freakbeat 45, recorded at the legendary R J Jones Studio in Morden, Surrey, home to Oak Records. Fewer than 100 copies of this 45 were pressed and it's reported that Dave Mason of Traffic plays on this record.
It seems that other copies of this 45 have a pasted on plain white label but it looks like this 45 has the original navy blue label - perhaps a previous owner removed the white label. Both labels have some glue residue and one side has a couple of small label tears (see photos). The glue might come off with the right treatment, but that's up to the winning bidder.
The vinyl is in strong VG to VG+ condition, with no obvious scuffs or deep scratches but the record could benefit from being cleaned. Listen to the unfiltered soundclip below. Records professionally packed and posted promptly. Any questions? Please ask before bidding - good luck!
