Description

Up for consideration today is a vintage coated paper/cardboard record.  From Leo Fender's Radio Service Shop in Fullerton Ca.  Fender experimented with a direct to disc machine back in the early 40's and this is one of the few surviving records.  This is the only example of a fender record in green that I can find.  This comes fresh from a local Southern California estate. both sides of the records were filled out by hand...one side has Ed Galbreth Yankee Boy 3/22/42 and the other is Rev Pirtle #?? 3/22/42.  The surface coating has cracking to it and the edge of the record has some yellowing.  But overall its in pretty good shape for a 77 year old cardboard record.  I did not play test it (I assume its cut at 78rpm) but i wasn't sure how it would hold up to a needle.  Comes in the plain paper sleeve it was found in.  Its a 10" record.  Nice early collectible piece from Fender before he made his famed guitars.  Pretty much impossible to find.  Check the pictures to judge condition for yourself.  Check the pictures they are part of the description.  If you have any questions or need any more pictures just ask!!
