Description
Scarce classic rock lp: LED ZEPPELIN II - ROBERT LUDWIG RL HOT MIX - Atlantic SD 8236, Monarch pressing, with "RL" etched in the runoff on both sides; Labels include "MO" suffix (indicating Monarch pressing) and "Mfg By Atlantic Recording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y.".; A-side runout has "ST-A-691671-MO - CC RL ss LW ?13933 (2) W AT", B-side has "Matrix / Runout (Side B etched variant 3): ST-A-691672-MO - CC LW RL ss ?13933-X W AT"; released in 1969. Only around 200,000 pressings were done of Robert Ludwig's 'high mix', which caused lesser-quality phonograph needles to 'skip', and a repress was ordered right away.
Condition: G+/EX (vinyl has moderate to heavy scuffing, many soft surface marks, several minor scratches that I can feel; PLAY TESTED all the way through and it sounds pretty decent, VG and VG+: no skips, some areas of ticks and pops, minor and moderate background throughout; clean labels; jacket is very clean with some minor rubbing to extremities, clean gatefold, some minimal cover rubbing).
