Description

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991 US Radio Ready Promo) - 2LP Vinyl (Direct Metal Master Pressing) - Warner Bros. Records Catalog Number: PRO-A-5170.
This is an authentic 1991 US Warner Bros. promotional double LP, featuring the rare "Radio Ready" clean/edited versions of explicit tracks. It is a Direct Metal Master (DMM) pressing, widely considered by audiophiles to be the best-sounding press of this landmark album. This specific copy comes directly from a college radio station archive. Because the station DJs at the time felt the album was a "sellout," this promo was pretty much untouched as sold away at a benefit at the time.

  • The Vinyl: Visual inspection shows both discs are pristine, flawless, and look completely unplayed aside from a little dust. Full gloss, no scuffs, and sharp labels. Station markings on labels.
  • The Jacket: The outside jacket shows light shelf wear. One DJ's graffiti on front cover illustrate the feeling at the time that the band had sold out.
This is a unique piece of alternative rock history, combining incredible audiophile-grade playback condition with genuine 1991 station history. Item sold as is with no returns or refunds.
