This is a pretty nice copy! I would actually grade this package as "Very Good Minus" condition. The cover and LP are in better than Good Plus condition but not as good as Very Good. Therefore, it is being graded in between at "Very Good Minus". (Ebay doesn't have a VG- rating, but I'm going to use it anyway).
PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it SOUNDS AWESOME, especially cranked up. But you will hear surface noise and pops & clicks typical with a Very Good- grading.
AS A BONUS I HAVE INCLUDED A Black & White PHOTOCOPY OF THE SUPER RARE ORIGINAL HYPE STICKER for the US Release. I like to add a PHOTOCOPY of the hype sticker, if I have it, as an added bonus as they are usually discarded and are hard to find.Up for sale is one (1) Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow - Rainbow Rising LP from 1976 on Polydor / Oyster Records (#OY-1-1601). NO BARCODE. This is the First Pressing Gatefold version.

Has STERLING stamped in the dead wax signaling a high quality mastering.
The Vinyl is in Very Good- condition, but has visual surface marks that will cause surface noise typical with a Very Good- grading. Even with a Very Good- grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. Certainly more noticible during the quiet parts.
The cover is in Very Good- condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, crumples, scrapes, dings, fading on the seams, and ring wear all of which are typical. There are NO split seams. There are some indentation swirl marks on the front cover as if someone put a piece of paper on the cover and scribbled in a circular motion leaving "swirling indentations". There are a few long scrapes on the rear cover.
This cover typically doesn't age well. but this one is in Very Good- shape(for this cover).
Nice fairly clean labels with spindle marks.
The LP comes in a plain white inner sleeve.
