Description

  • Incredibly rare and still in the original shrink-wrap LP "Wild Family Orchestra From Zamora, California" (Yolo 001) with cover art designed by none other than Robert Crumb (R. Crumb).
  • It is my understanding that this 1979 record is one of the rarest R. Crumb related LPs and it is almost impossible to find a cover in this pristine still in shrink-wrap condition.
  • The liner notes were written by Aline Kominsky Crumb.
  • The recording itself consists of 17 tracks of eclectic "old-timey" music recorded live in the Wild Family home during the summer of 1979.
  • Songs include such classics as "San Antonio Rose", "In The Mood", "Where The River Shannon Flows", "Yellow Rose O Texas" and 13 more.
  • The cover is the key element in this offering and you will be hard put to find a cleaner cover. No splits, tears, writing or cutouts. The record itself has several scratches and scuffs. It plays through all the way but you should expect surface noise and tics. As mentioned, the key element in this offering.
  • NO reserve and a very reasonable $40.00 minimum bid.
  • I ship worldwide and will combine winning bids to save on postage (check out my other items!)
  • In the US, the winning bidder pays choice of media mail ($4.00) or priority shipping (based on ZIP code). Airmail shipping and handling to Canada is $8.00. All other locations outside the US are $15.00.
  • NOTE: For this sale only I will require tracking. If it is sold outside the US then that will mean shipping by registered mail which is $11.75. I will agree to pay ½ of the registered fee with the other ½ being paid by the winning bidder. Good luck!
