Description

Rock Steady Compilation LP Rare ACDC - Can I sit next to you girl

This is a Perth Radio Station compilation album that holds the rare honour of being the only official release LP with the original version of ACDC's Can I sit next to you girl sung by Dave Evans before Bon Scott joined the band. The record is in beautiful condition and plays really well. Small crease in sleeve bottom right as seen in the photo. This is really hard to get hold of and I've seen one other on EBAY in the last few years. You won't find the single release for under $500 as it is highly collectable.

I will start this auction at 99c and see what happens. Willing to post overseas but contact me for a quote as International posatge is getting bloody expensive.

Below is an extract from ACDC rare Tracks

CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU GIRL (Original)

Recorded Jan-Feb. 74, EMI Studios, Sydney.
Originally available on Australian & New Zealand 7" Single "Can I Sit Next To You Girl".
Also available on a 1975 Australian compilation Lp "6KY Rock Steady", and included in bootlegs "Rip Off" (Lp), "Rare, rarer, rarities" (CD), "She's got balls" (CD)
Written by Malcolm & Angus, right before the band's first recording sessions in February 74 and never played live before that. Recorded at EMI Studios with the very first line-up Young - Young - Dave Evans - Colin Burgess - Larry Van Kriedt and produced by Vanda & Young. George later re-recorded Larry's bass part. The song was of course re-recorded in 1975 with Bon Scott for the album "T.N.T.".

The rest of the album has some great tracks including ZZ Top - La Grange & Stevie Wright - Guitar BandARTIST. Various

Notes on my gradings:

Unlike many sellers I only use 4 grades as follows (no endless list of G, G+, VG-, VG+, VG++, EX-, EX, EX+, NM-, NM etc…)

F (fair - plays with excessive background or surface noise or skips)

G (good - plays through without skips but has surface or background noise - what some may call VG)

VG (very good - has obviously been played and has some minor surface noise but still a very good listen - what some may call VG+ or EX)

EX (excellent - a very clean record with negligible or no surface noise, a great listen - what some may call NM or M-)
