Here's an exceptionally rare LP featuring Rolph Schroeder performing all of Bach Complete Works for Solo Violin, includnig all partitas and sonatas. This three record set was released on Columbia (SL-189) in the U.S. Schroeder plays with the curved bow of Bach's time, giving the performance a particularly distinctive sound.
Very hard to find.
Condition - The box has some issues. While the spine is in good working condition and the print is clear, and the image on the front of the box looks good with light age wear, the sides of the top and bottom of the front part box are broken and missing some small pieces. The liner notes are intact on the dowel inside the box. The box grades at VG-. The records have been stored in separate sleeves. The records have been played and they have accumulated some light marks. I listened to all six sides, and they played through nicely with mostly light background noise that seemed to diminish somewhat as the sides progressed. There were some heavier ticks and pops in some places, but nothing that I found terribly distracting. By sight, the records grade at VG+. The listening grade is similar at VG+
Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials.
Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed, opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
