Discover this rare 12-inch single featuring two distinct interpretations of The Rolling Stones' iconic track, "Gimme Shelter." Side A presents a powerful live rendition by The Rolling Stones themselves, captured during their legendary 1989 Steel Wheels Tour, mixed by Chris Kimsey. This dynamic performance offers a unique take on the classic, showcasing the band's enduring stage presence.
Flip the record for an unexpected collaboration on Side B, where New Model Army teams up with the legendary Tom Jones for their own compelling version of "Gimme Shelter." This track was recorded at The Hit Factory and Axis Studios in Hollywood, adding a unique twist to this collectible release. Both sides are published by Westminster Music Ltd / ABKCO Music Inc. and feature the catalog number ORDERLR 1, making this a noteworthy addition for collectors of both The Rolling Stones and New Model Army, as well as fans of unique cover versions and collaborations. Released on the Food and EMI labels, this 45 RPM single offers superior sound quality for an immersive listening experience.
