NEAR MINT 1965 UK 1st PRESS MONO LP
Rare unboxed & ungrooved red Decca label: LK. 4661
Housed in the rare censored 'paste-over' cover.
When the first printing of the cover was issued, the sleeve notes included the wording: -
"..........If you don't have bread , see that blind man knock him on the head , steal his wallet and low and behold you have the loot , if you put in the boot , good ,another one sold!"
Right away pressure was put on Decca to reprint the sleeve without the 'offensive' wording. This was rectified in a similar way to how the Beatles' 'Butcher' cover was treated, i.e a new rear cover slick was pasted over the original. The original rear panel is just visible beaneath the paste-over.

Pristine & perfect surfaces which apart from some light inner-sleeve storage marks are totally unmarked & 100% 'as new'.

This amazing copy has recieved just TWO careful plays and sounds completely 'as new' throughout with no groovewear, background noise of any other traces of audible wear.
Cover:
EXCELLENT
A fine example of this rare cover with some light storagewear present. There is some minor laminate lift towards the spine but the laminate itself it undamaged and retains its deep gloss shine. All corners are sharp & unbumped and both opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn. Apart from some minor age-toning to the edges on the rear panel, it is clean and unmarked with no wiriting or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are in perfect, unworn condition.
