Description
This listing is for a vintage vinyl LP of the rare Soul Funk album by Ruby Andrews called Black Ruby.
Released by Zodiac Records, this copy is an original US first pressing of the album from 1972.
Record Condition:
Visible signs of surface wear are present in the way of some non-feelable hairline scratches and scuff marks.
Spindle wear is visible on the center label including a protrusion or indentation around the spindle hole (see photos). It's very possible this was a manufacturing flaw that was there since the beginning but it's tough to know. But it didn't seem to affect the play of the record for me.
There's also some light dust/dirt, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
Surface noise is present at times.
Industry Grade: VG (or VG- if you're more conservative with your grading).
Jacket Condition:
Obvious signs of shelf wear and age present on edges, spine, and corners.
Signs of ring wear are present.
A hole punch is visible in the upper right corner of the jacket.
A seam split is present in the upper right corner of the jacket.
Wear is especially heavy on the interior top and bottom edges near the spine corners.
Inner Sleeve: Original plain generic paper inner sleeve is included. But it does have heavy wear and the record will ship in a new modern poly inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: Lower end VG or VG-.
