SANDWIDI PIERRE Le Troubadour De La Savane / LP NEW VINYL / Soft Estate 2017
First-ever vinyl re-issue, on 180-gram vinyl and packaged in a deluxe gatefold “tip-on” Stoughton jacket. Lyrics transcribed and translated from original languages (French, Moore, Bambara), digital Download card included with a bonus track.
Fresh Nigerian synth-funk from Burkina Faso, recorded sometime between the late 70’s and early 80’s. Groovy dancing sounds and killer keys, and the slow burners will kill you softly. One of Burkina Faso’s more powerful vocalists, Sandwidi appears on the recent Bambara Mystic Soul compilation from Analog Africa and will appeal to fans of William Oneyeabor.

A2 Fils Du Sahel (Son of The Sahel)
A3 Mousso Gwe (Light-Skinned Girl)
B1 Pang Nooma (It Is Good To Be Strong)
B2 Je Suis Un Salaud (I am a Bastard)
