Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
2 LP box set UK Columbia SAX 2347-2240 on blue/silver label. Otto Klemperer conducts Wagner performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra. The box is in VG, it is scuffed on outside, and there is damage to top right hand corner (see photo). There is some foxing to inside of top lid. There is "recommended equipment" label on inside of top lid and is it also stamped "Made and Printed in Gt Britain". The booklet is included, no damage just some creasing and some foxing on the front page. There is some creasing on inners. One has a small tear at the opening, the other has a small brown mark on top edge.
I have played this on my Linn Sondek and I have graded the records the best I can. The description is as follows
SAX 2347 Side 1 - visually excellent + (couple of faint scratches), plays with very few crackles
SAX 2347 Side 2 - visually excellent + (a faint mark), plays with very few crackles
SAX 2348 Side 1 - visually excellent (some faint scratches), plays with very few crackles
SAX 2348 Side 2 - visually VG, (more mark and some faint scatches), there are repeated ticks on track 2 and 3
Note that box set will be posted in a cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap (records in box set).
