Long gone, hard to find = superior limited edition second-press in weighty triple-thick gatefold with 180 gram platter ... this is a tremendous quality issue that is arguably with better all around quality than the first press that fetches some $1500 these days.
Raw Material "Time Is" - their second album from 1971 and arguably better of two albums released. The British progressive underground band is often compared to early Van Der Graaf Generator with dramatic keyboard, flute, sax and guitar interplay... and both bands made doomy progressive music. Differences are the more prominent guitar parts in the music in Raw Material.
The whole of the album consists of adventurous complex played progressive music. Most notable for the Van Der Graff Generator reference in Raw Material's music is the opener Ice Queen. The basis of this track is the riff of the Van Der Graaf Generator track Killer. This could be the reason this is the most notable track of the album. The second track is a more easy flowing track. Insolent Lady is mainly an melodic flowing track. The two shorter tracks are straightforward rockers. The album ends with the long Sun God. It sounds very much like early '70s Pink Floyd and has great playing all throughout.
