Written-By The Beatles is the ninth studio album by the British rock group The Beatles, released on November 22, 1968 in Great Britain and Germany. In Great Britain it was their tenth album, including the compilation album, in Germany it was their thirteenth album overall. It was their 16th album in the US, where it was released on November 25, 1968.
It was the only double album released by the band. Known colloquially as the White Album, it was recorded at EMI's Abbey Road Studios and Trident Studio between 30 May and 14 October and was also the final album (unless you count the Yellow Submarine soundtrack) also mixed in mono. It was produced by George Martin with uncredited production by Chris Thomas.
