STILL FACTORY SEALED (never opened) vintage pressing of the highly rated Burrito Brothers album led by Gram Parsons & Chris Hillman...
Not sure of the label color, roll the dice..nevertheless it's an old pressing with NO barcode, pulled it out from a bunch of other 'original' records, which means little when guessing at the label color inside...it's scarce or rare as a still sealed collectible....
After exiting the Byrds, Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman formed the Burrito Brothers and recorded The Gilded Palace of Sin, an alternative rural-rock sound before there even was such a thing. It's all thrilling: the custom created rural gems of classics such as the brilliant "Dark End of the Street," the distortion pedal-steel eddects & fills of Sneaky Pete Kleinow, and the classic compositions like the bluegrassy draft-dodger's anthem "My Uncle" and the amazingly twangy critique of capitalism, "Sin City" are just the start of the two sides of killers ...Ultimately, Along with the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo, this is the premier example of Parsons and Hillman's prescient hippie-from-Muskogee aesthetic.
