Description

Africa '68 is a relatively early Hugh Masekela album, though it isn't overtly credited to him on the cover. Nevertheless this is a very sweet sounding Stewart Levine/Hugh Masekela collaboration, running through South African tracks which are largely instrumental and of the "mbaqanga" variety. It's pretty hard to find one of these records in the wild which is has vinyl in as good a shape as this. And it's impossible, I think, to find any other copy of this record signed by Hugh Masekela himself. Yeah I met the man and everything. May he rest in peace.
