This record is in excellent- condition. It has spindle marks visible on the labels but no pen marks, scuffs or fading. There is minimal wear to the centre holes and these are not loose or worn. Overall the labels are clean, bright and in good shape.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything serious with no nasty marks or deep scratches. There is however some light surface lines and sleeve scuffing visible on both sides when angled in normal light. These signs of use and some more incredibly light wispy lines are clearly visible under very bright light but there is again nothing sinister. Overall the record is free of major marks or defects and has a nice lustre but does have some faint light surface lines and signs of use to it.
I play tested the record and it played well overall with no skips, sticks or annoying ticks and generally solid EX audio throughout. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is little to no movement in the record arm. The sound produced has no major issues and is generally nice and clear. There is some light surface noise in places but nothing at all extreme and it is generally clear and defined. I noted the odd splutter on side 2 and some in the quiet intro and mellow parts of track 1(side 1). This was nothing extreme however and my system which is revealing found no major issues. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire play test and this original copy still more than does this classic album justice.
The sleeve is in very good+ condition. It has some rubbing and wear to the edges and corners(pics) but the majority of the text along the spine is still legible. There are no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere but there is some grubbiness or discolouring in places. This is at its worst on the rear near the top edge. Other than this and the edge wear there is also mild ring marks and a few creases dotted around. Overall the sleeve is strong and still tidy enough but has some age related wear in places as mentioned. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its original CBS inner which is in very good+ condition. It has no splits, tears or pen marks but has some creasing and age related discolouring in places.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
