'Circular' Shaped Sleeve

 This LP is valued at between 120 and 130 pounds in Mint Condition in the current Record Collector Guide. This is a very nice copy although there is one fault with the sleeve which I describe in detail below. This copy is an original with the purple Immediate Label. I would rate the vinyl as EX-.

It is clean and shiny, with some minimal playing marks and minor scratches. The labels are free of stickers and there is no writing on the label. There is some little evidence of spindleware.

Those who are familiar with the album will know that it comes in an unusual designed 'circular' shape in the style of an old tobacco tin. The front of the sleeve is connected to the back of the sleeve in a very fragile and delicate way at two areas of approx 2" only at the top and bottom.

Unfortunately the bottom has become detached, the top has not. Its a pity as the sleeve is otherwise in EXcondition. It has been kept clean and there are no blemishes or writing elsewhere. No attempt has been made to re-fix it with sellotape or similar.

The Vinyl itself comes in the original transparent cellophane inner sleeve and in every other way this copy is a very nice example of this elusive album. For safety when shipping the album will be placed inside a standard 12" cellophane sleeve.

 

 

 I would rate the condition of the vinyl EX- using the RECORD COLLECTOR GUIDE to Condition Rating (I reserve 'Mint' only for items I know are 'new' )  There are no distortions or interference when played on a good-quality deck with a playing arm tracking at 1 gram.   Leaving aside the fault described above, I would rate the sleeve otherwise as EX.
