Pressed in 1968 by Immediate Records and released May 24th that year going straight to No.1 as it should. First run on the light/lilac label and the rare mono mix that features many subtle differences to the regular Stereo version......(EG: There is no "What was that like?" from Steve at the end of Afterglow while the drums cut dead into Long Agos..) ROLLIN OVER is different in places....as is THE JOURNEY....making this something special and unavailable now for 40 years. CONDITION: First run 'Patent Application'Sleeve has survived very nicely here with the Ronnie Lane circular picture still intact considering each circle (featuring superb Gered Mankowitz portraits of each member lurking in there 'egg box' studio at 22 Westmoreland Terrace,Pimlico) is held together by a small hinge.::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Sleeve:EX THe disc visually is overall VG (no heavy scratching just surface marks in general). THIS IS THE PRESSING THAT DOES NOT SEPARATE EACH TRACK. IT'S ALL ONE BAND FOR BOTH SIDES! Sound played with treble FULL:VG / VG+(Occasional EX) .General crackle that is more noticeable on the quieter passages. There is groove distortion on the section of Stanley Unwin from "eye on the moon.....all time sometime" otherwise as above....Heavy vinyl . Still hear the songs pretty good with all the ride cymbols etc. A mint copy can go for large notes. This has NO RESERVE. DEADWAX info: Side ONE: IMLP 012 - 1L Side TWO: IMLP 012 - 2L.
