Thrill Jockey welcomes the return of The Soft Pink Truth, the solo electronic project of Drew Daniel, one half of Baltimore-found sound duo Matmos. Named after an innocuous phrase thrown out by a punter at a friend's DJ set - Is it going to get any deeper than this? - the album's title became something of a mantra for Daniel's approach to music-making thereafter. Through a weird fusion of techo and black metal, Daniel enlists a massive slew of collaborators to go deeper, and deeper, and deeper.
