THIS IS A GREAT COPY WHICH HAS SEEN VERY LITTLE PLAY (the labels are clean and bright and display only a couple of the lightest spindle traces) AND THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION IS CRISP, SHARP AND STRONG WITH AN IMPRESSIVE LOUD CUT AND PRACTICALLY FLAWLESS PLAYBACK

By refining the song-oriented breakthroughs of Sister and developing their fascination with noise and alternate tunings, Sonic Youth created a masterpiece of post-punk art rock with the double-album Daydream Nation.
Though the self-conscious sprawl of the album might appear self-indulgent on the surface, Daydream Nation is powered by a sustained vision, one that encapsulates all of the group's quirks and strengths.
Alternating between tense, hypnotic instrumental passages and furious noise explosions, the music demonstrates a range of emotions and textures, and in many ways, it's hard not to listen to the record as one long piece of shifting dynamics. But the songs themselves are remarkable, from the anti-anthem of "Teen Age Riot" and the punky "Silver Rocket" to the hazy drug dreams of "Providence" and the rolling waves of "Eric's Trip."
Daydream Nation demonstrates the extent to which noise and self-conscious avant art can be incorporated into rock, and the results are nothing short of stunning.

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with only a couple of spindle traces per label. This copy hasn't been played that much at all
VINYL Visual: All the surfaces have their original DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN but in common with most of these late 80s pressings there are some pressing blemishes and superficial scuffs - these have NO audio consequence AT ALL. There are however, some semi-circular marks on the outer rim of Side Three which do briefly sound on the lead-in but soon disappear once the music starts otherwise, the playback is SUPERB (see detailed audio assessment below)
VINYL Audio: OUTSTANDING audio delivery - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and VERY STRONG. On Playback at a LOUD volume there are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks and NO loud clicks or pops. The group of small marks on the outer edge of Side Three are audible on the run-in but soon disappear as the loud track begins. Otherwise, the rest of the album plays BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT with SUPERB clarity, NO distortion or groove-wear and is critically graded at least an EXCELLENT+ for audio - FANTASTIC LP
SLEEVE: The laminated gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition - GOOD and SOLID, CLEAN and BRIGHT with minimal edge wear and all spine text CLEAR and BOLD. There is a light crease to the spine and two small patches of minor laminate loss on the front of the sleeve (not through to the colour) and on the back showing as light 'ring' otherwise, a very well preserved example
POSTER: Like-New with NO marks/wear/creases or even any real signs of ever being handled at all. It display some light impression from the record but is otherwise MINT
