Up for bids is an original Mono Jazz LP by Sonny Rollins called "A Night At The Village Vanguard" on Blue Note Records. BLP 1581. 1958.

Original 1ST pressing with two 63rd St label variations: 

Side 1 reads in bolder print "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC • 47 WEST 63rd • NYC" and Side 2 reads in thinner print "BLUE NOTE RECORDS • 47 WEST 63rd • NYC". The top font printing on Side 2's label is also thinner than Side 1. 

Side 1 label has the "?" symbol. Side 2 does not!

DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!

Front of cover is laminated.

Record's edges are raised.

Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have the stamped "RVG" followed by an etched "BN-LP-1581-A" then finally the "ear" for Side 1, and the stamped "RVG" followed by an etched "BN-LP-1581-B? " then finally the "ear" for Side 2.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in VG+ to VG++ condition. Front and back have some minor wear (mainly on back). Back of cover has some minor staining and some scratching. Bottom corner at opening has the tiniest 1/16" split starting. No other splits on cover! Spine is all intact and looks great!

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG to VG+. Has some minor marks, wear and a couple of scratches that don't greatly affect play. Record still sounds great on my player!

Makes a great gift for any Sonny Rollins or Blue Note Jazz fan!
