Sons of Fred were a late 60's psych band who only ever released 2 singles, on the Parlophone label. Both of these singles are extremely hard to find and as such command a very high asking price. This auction is for an UNRELEASED acetate by Sons of Fred. It is called 'On The Level' and from the writing on the label it looks like it was a film soundtrack for a film of the same name. After doing some research it looks like not only was the track never release but nor was the film. I have played the acetate through once only to record it. Please be aware that the recording was made from a record player to the sound recorder on a laptop, so is not very good quality at all.
Regardless of whether or not you intend to put a bid in, have a listen to it, you won't be able to get it out of your head - it is an absolute psych gem - I cannot believe it has never been released. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
VINYL EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
SLEEVE EXCELLENT : The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VINYL VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
SLEEVE VERY GOOD : Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, some laminate veining or minor discolouration without any major defects, is acceptable.
VINYL GOOD : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
SLEEVE GOOD : The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine or edge splits, discolouration, laminate veining etc.
